The first multi-sectoral, one-to-one business matchmaking event to take place in Sri Lanka with the intent purpose of stimulating, developing and strengthening business links between Sri Lanka and the Netherlands. To

  • Explore and identify new opportunities fostering business, trade and investment
  • Introduce Sri Lanka to the Dutch know-how and new technology
  • Open new avenues of marketing by establishing market linkages with Dutch enterprises
Holland Day an initiative to further develop present bilateral business links between the Netherlands and Sri Lanka. Economic trade, between the two countries have a long proud history dating back to over 450 years. Holland day aims to further strengthen and revitalize this partnership by way of trade, investment, transfer of technology, joint ventures, sales and marketing cooperation and a host of other activities and facilities. Holland Day, an initiative of the Royal Dutch Embassy and partnered by The European Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka will take place at the Galle Face Hotel on October 26th 2007.


Holland Day is designed to provide the ideal platform for:

  • Sri Lankan companies to set up joint ventures and trade partnerships with Dutch companies.
  • To identify opportunities that encourage productive business, trade and investment linkages
    between The Netherlands and Sri Lanka.
  • To enable joint ventures, marketing agreements, technology transfers and business co-operation between Sri Lanka and Dutch Enterprises.
